How new lightbulb regulations may affect you

By AnnArbor.com Staff

New regulations that are scheduled to go into effect in 2012 as part of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 will mandate that 100 watt bulbs will need to be at least 30 percent more efficient.

Laurie Gross from Gross Electric has more information on how this will affect your home light bulb usage on this weeks' "Ask Your Local Expert" in our Home & Garden section. Check it out here.

It should be noted that the original headline was: "The experts answer questions about new light bulb regulations " Somehow this got changed without being noted. Odd, I was under the impression that when changes were made, it was noted in the comment area or with a footnote at least.

First of all, the headline was almost as long as this extremely informative article. Second, the headline should be changed to: Link Provided for Local Business Free Ad, or possibly: Local Business Owner Provides No Real Insight Into New Regulations, but Gets a Free Plug. Regardless, the local expert(s) was only one and the question(s) posed was one. Questions answered was zero.
