Latin Mass in San Francisco

This week, the Itinerant Chorister went to an especially itinerant venue, St. Patrick Catholic Church at 756 Mission Street in San Francisco, California. This church is trying to maintain the tradition of having the mass in Ecclesiastical Latin, the practice of Roman Catholics for around 1700 years, but no longer required since the 1960s. A small but talented and dedicated group of singers huddle around a spot of light in the balcony of this church in order to carry on this old tradition.

Thanks for your comment, Paul. Sorry for a tardy reply. I will soon be posting my experiences at Old St. Patrick yesterday. Beyond that, after including three Catholic churches on my itinerary, I'm starting to feel like I have that base covered, and probably will not include St. Thomas. Sorry.
