The event begins with a Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Gazebo in Pierce Park. Santa makes a special appearance when he arrives in the American Legion Voiture 957 (a giant train on wheels). After the Tree Lighting Ceremony, follow Santa in the train to the Chelsea Depot where he will spend the evening listening to special wishes from Chelsea’s children. The American Legion Train will remain at the Depot, where it will be the site of Christmas story-telling. In addition to warmth and hospitality, the Chelsea Teddy Bear Company offers visitors a chance to decorate sugar cookies and enjoy hot chocolate.
