Book Choices for the Child You Love – It’s a gift-giving season, but really adults are always choosing books for children. Margaret Best will present book ideas for children from their earliest experiences with language through their teen and young adult years. She will discuss choosing books that cultivate enthusiasm for reading, the role of nonsense and humor, books for particular ethnic interests, and finding books for specific subject interests. Margaret became the Children’s Literature Czar in the EMU Library in the 1980s and taught introductory courses in Children’s Literature. She is a frequent speaker at various book related conferences.
