The big fat welcome-to-spring block party in front of Casa Dominick’s returns to celebrate with music, shopping and sangria.

The street will be closed to make way for a musical lineup MCd by homegrown poet, activist, musician and icon John Sinclair. He’ll be introducing psychobilly garage band The Booby Scooter, funk rockers Covert Operations, the reggae/Celtic/bluegrass fusion sound of Rootstand and longtime Fair favorites Glowb. A drum circle carries the beat between sets, so bring one if you’ve got one.

As always, local vendors present an array of handcrafted wares to help you remember the great time you had at this year’s Fair. Looking for t-shirts or hand-blown glass? We’ll have lots. Prefer to tie-dye your own t-shirt? This year, you can do that too. Looking for advice on how to change the world? Actually, we’ve even got that.

Should all the fun cause your throat to parch or tummy to rumble, step across the sidewalk and into Dominick’s for snacks and a cool brew or jar o’ sangria – or better yet, top off your afternoon with a good old Constant Buzz. (You must be 21 to enter Dominick’s.)
