In the “Masterpieces Revealed” series, local artists provide a step-by-step exploration of some of the artistic works presented on the UMS season through live performance and discussion, deconstructing the nuances of performance and explaining what turns any piece into a “masterpiece.” This event features conductor Jerry Blackstone and Freda Herseth, Professor of Voice at the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance exploring George Frideric Handel’s beloved 18th century oratorio. A collaboration with UMMA and the U-M School of Music, Theater & Dance.
