Vault of Midnight’s basement gallery in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan, will present a special exhibition for their in-house artist with The Jeremy Wheeler Art Show. The full exhibition will only be open to the public the night of Saturday, August 28, from 9pm to Midnight, with a condensed version staying up through Sept. 12, 2010. Bringing together more than 100 gig-posters, as well as countless pieces of comic art and works directly attributed to the artist’s long-running dance party, The Bang!, of which he guides the visual aesthetics and concepts through poster and set design.
What would Vault’s in-house artist Art Show be if they didn’t feature the branding which the artist has developed for the comic shop, whether it’s his various t-shirt designs or the infamous coupon illustration, which Wheeler was given just one weeknight to come up with (and still make it to work the next day). His work with the Vault has helped them define their image and solidify their place as an
Eisner Award winning comic shop.
