Merchants to Host Halloween Celebrations with Spooky Storytimes, In-Store Costume Parades, Prize Drawings and Tricks and Treats. Look for the orange and black balloons indicating special happenings and enjoy an afternoon family adventure.
Area merchants located in the Huron Village Plaza at the corner of Huron Parkway and Washtenaw Avenue are stirring up some old-fashioned fun at a special Halloween celebration event on Saturday, October 30 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Children are encouraged to wear their costumes to the celebration walk, which will feature a spooky Storytime at 11:00am, scrumptious café treats and a costume parade at Barnes & Noble. Make a Little Green Creepy mask and enter to win Halloween Night by Marjorie Dennis Murray. In addition, children will receive a free 4 x 6 picture from Walgreens, treat bags and stickers from Georgetown Gifts, and tricks and treats from other merchants in the mall. Panera Bread will keep your tummy warm with free hot chocolate and Whole Foods Market offers a Halloween Treat Trail throughout the store and a $50 Spooky Pumpkin Gift Card Drawing (everyone wins something).
