  • $26 for 5K through July 2, $13 for kids dash through July 2. Sign-up today and be a part of this one time opportunity by calling 734-213-1033 or email events@champsforcharity.com

    $4 of each entry will go to UM Project Healthy Schools ($2) and CFC Fit Kid Champions Program ($2) to support childhood wellness and fight childhood obesity. Additional donations can be mailed or made online.

The family friendly event begins with a 5K at 8 a.m., followed by the 100 meter Kids Dash at 9:30 a.m. Bring the whole crew out for the races and then stay for the 20th Annual Ann Arbor Jaycees Fourth of July Parade beginning at 11 a.m.

Because of construction this summer on North University Ave, the University of Michigan has given the 2010 Firecracker 5K the rare opportunity to run all the way across the Diag from the Engineering Arch, past the block “M” to State and North University. We believe this is the first and may well be the only time an organized race is allowed to use the Diag.
