Breaking Traditions is an art quilt exhibit curated by Lynn Krawczyk each fall. The exhibit features 12"x12" art quilts. In 2009, participants were asked to express what the idea of "Home" meant to them. 73 artists from across the United States, Canada and Israel answered the call, producing 84 works of art honoring the special qualities and moments that make up home for them.

The exhibit benefited Bernie Berlin's A Place to Bark, an animal shelter that helps find forever homes for abused and abandoned animals. The 2009 exhibit raised $795 for Bernie Berlin's animal rescue, A Place to Bark. Her shelter is a no kill rescue and she works tirelessly to find animals forever homes. The participants of Breaking Traditions created art quilts to honor her efforts and the furry loved ones in their lives.
