The Zzang candy bar, a local creation of Zingerman's, is scheduled to be featured on the Food Network tonight as part of the program
"Kid in a Candy Store."
The show is scheduled to air at 8:30 tonight on the Food Network. According to the program's episode guide, it will explore "the sensationally decadent candy bars at Zingerman's Candy Manufactory in Ann Arbor, MI, where gooey handmade nougat is layered with original specialties like muscovado caramel and raspberry chocolate ganache."
A post on the Zingerman's website in March spoke of the filming for the show:

"We had a busy couple of days here on Ann Arbor’s southside this month hosting the crew from the Food Network’s hit show Kid in a Candy Store. Host Adam Gertler and a great crew came to town to film Candy Manufactory managing partner Charlie Frank and his assistant Sara Fitzgerald making the raspberry Zzang! Bar. Adam was in the kitchen making the bars by hand every step of the way and we’re looking forward to seeing the final later this Spring!"
"Kid in a Candy Store" seeks out unique and unusual sweet treats from various locations across the country. The Food Network is a cable TV channel dedicated to food, cooking and eating.

Just waiting for the usual suspects to bash Zingerman's here (again).

I LOVE these candybars. Can I buy them all the time? Nope--but I shouldn't be eating candybars all the time, anyway. Yay Zzang!

Dare I ask what they cost?! Lemme see, now... $15 sandwiches, so maybe $5 candy bars. I guess if I have to ask, I probably don't want to afford it. Never cared much for nougat, anyway.
