What's your favorite Jeff Bridges role?
By Bob Needham
In preparation for its opening of the acclaimed "Crazy Heart" on Friday, the Michigan Theater is asking fans on its Facebook page: What's your favorite Jeff Bridges movie role? (And there are free passes at stake.) The comments are pretty interesting ... mostly because some of them don't say the Dude from "The Big Lebowski." Come on, people! There's the Dude, and then there's everything else.

Starman! Healing the dead deer. The Fisher King, Against All Odds! Nadine Tucker He and John Goodman "spreading the ashes" in Lebowski is priceless! He's been around a while and done some pretty good work! Hard to choose.

The Dude: "That rug really tied the room together." Of course, most of the other great quotes cannot be repeated in public. :)

Well, there is picking my favorite movie that Jeff Bridges was in, and there is picking my favorite role as you have asked. Hands down, my favorite performance of his is Wild Bill Hickok in "Wild Bill." This is not my favorite Jeff Bridges film, but definitely my favorite Jeff Bridges role. He was awesome as Wild Bill. And let me side with anyone who has the audacity not to love "The Big Lebowski." Sorry folks, I'm not required to love that film.

That's not even a question. His Dudeness, or El Duderino in The Big Lebowski.
