By Jenn McKee

Looking for a reason to dust off that old horn from your school days and play it again? Or are you a young person looking for more opportunities to play in a group?

According to a press release, "The Washtenaw Community Concert Band is looking for musicians of all ages who play a concert band instrument well enough to contribute to the band's programming. Especially needed are clarinet, French horn, and tuba players. No formal audition is required. The 70 member band is in its 35th year and is under the direction of Dr. Chris Heidenreich, Director of Bands at U of M-Flint. Outdoor summer concerts will be held June 11, July 9 and July 30 at the Washtenaw Community College Community Park. Rehearsals for the summer period start Tuesday, May 21, 7-9 p.m. at Whitmore Lake High School. Please visit the band's website at www.wccband.org or call 734-252-9221."
