The future of the Firefly Club remains uncertain, but club owner Susan Chastain continues to bring great jazz acts to Ann Arbor. Coming to town this weekend are two performances hosted at the Vitosha Guest Haus.

Friday, Sept. 18 brings Portland, Oregon-based group The Stolen Sweets. Influenced by 1920s/1930s vocal group The Boswell Sisters, they serve up swingin' original tunes and vintage covers. They debuted in 2006 with "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and follow up next month with "Sleepytime in Chinatown."

Russian prodigy Eldar follows on Saturday, Sept. 19. Accompanied by drummer Ludwig Afonso and bassist Armando Gola, the Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz pianist performs in support of "Virtue," out later this month.

For both dates, doors are at 6:30 p.m., with each group playing sets at 7 and 9 p.m. Stolen Sweets tickets are $15; Eldar tickets are $20. Parking at Vitosha is limited, so attendees can also park at the First Church of Christ, Scientist (1833 Washtenaw).
