The University of Michigan Band Alumni Association Concert Band is seeking additional musicians for the spring session starting April 14. Rehearsals are Thursday nights in Ann Arbor and the next concert is June 12, also in Ann Arbor. Everyone who played a band instrument, for at least one semester in a University of Michigan ensemble is encouraged to join. No auditions are required.

The UMBAA Concert Band is a volunteer organization committed to providing a place for Alumni of all ages and abilities to gather to make music and socialize. Formed in April of 2009, the band has performed several well-received concerts and looks forward to growing the membership and increasing its role in the community. The University of Michigan Band Alumni Association (UMBAA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, provides service and financial support to The University of Michigan Bands. Through a scholarship endowment, UMBAA awarded thirty two partial scholarships to deserving student members of the Michigan Bands in the 2009-2010 school year. UMBAA programs also include the annual “Blast from the Past” reunion band at Homecoming, an annual Golf Outing and the Alumni Pep Band, which performs at a variety of Michigan games and other events each season.
