BEER

The Brew for the River Event continues on Thursday nights. 5-7:30 p.m. Five Ann Arbor microbreweries are teaming up with the Huron River Watershed Council to sponsor a night dedicated to water, beer and the people who love both. This week, head to Blue Tractor. Tim Schmidt will be brewing Hay Creek at the last (but certainly not least) event. MUSIC

BR549's "Hillbilly Renaissance Man" Chuck Mead will perform at The Ark tonight. 8 p.m. He was the co-founder of the three-time Grammy nominated BR549, the honky-tonk heroes that almost single-handedly lit and carried the blowtorch for the mid-1990s alternative country explosion. $15. FITNESS

It will be “Fashion’s Night Out” at the Briarwood Mall. 6-8 p.m. There will be a fashion show, a charity auction and a chance to vote on a Zingerman’s Fashion Cake Decorating Contest.
