Why was this local film event so noteworthy? Because Grace — who also wrote the story and worked as executive producer — appeared in person with co-star Demetri Martin.
According to M-Flicks president Bhanu Chundu, the group publcized the event by e-mail, Facebook, and the undergraduate film department email list. The event was open to the public, but unless you were a student, you needed a pass.
"Take Me Home Tonight" is set in the 1980s and tells the story of an aimless college grad (played by Grace) who pursues his dream girl at a wild Labor Day Weekend party.
According to the movie's Internet Movie DataBase page, the film is slated for a March 4 release. Check out the trailer below.
