"Top Chef" season 4 winner Stephanie Izard is scheduled to speak on Monday, Dec. 12 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the downtown library's multi-purpose room.

Patrons should plan to arrive early to this special event as Izard returns to AADL with cooking tips and copies of her new book, "Girl in the Kitchen: How a Top Chef Cooks, Thinks, Shops, Eats And Drinks." This event includes a book-signing, and books will be on sale at the event.

Fan favorite and the first and only woman to win "Top Chef," she is also the chef and owner of the acclaimed Girl & The Goat restaurant in Chicago. She is expected to prepare a sample dish (with audience tastings) and discuss her life and her new book.
