Tom Bosley remembered; Obama set for 'Daily Show'; Angelina as Cleopatra?

Bad week for iconic sitcom parents, as the death of Barbara Billingsley is followed by the passing of Tom Bosley, Howard Cunningham on "Happy Days."

As usual, The New York Times' obituary is very well done, noting that long before "Happy Days," Bosley won a Tony Award for "Fiorello!"

EW.com rounds up some reaction from castmates, while MTV.com takes note of many tributes on Twitter. And the Los Angeles Times has a nice appreciation of his work.

TELEVISION

• MTV.com has a full report on last night's elimination from "Dancing with the Stars," and it wasn't what many were expecting.

• President Barack Obama is set to appear on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Oct. 27.

• MLive has a recap of last night's episode of "Detroit 1-8-7."

• Don't forget that Ann Arbor is the focus on "Man v. Food" tonight.

MOVIES

• "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy is considering a remake of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." (A "Rocky Horror" episode of "Glee" is coming up.)

• You had to know another "Jackass" movie looks likely.

• Supposedly a James Cameron/Angelina Jolie production of "Cleopatra" is very possible.

BOOKS

• The Detroit News has a feature on a new anthology from Detroit's M.L. Liebler.

FESTIVALS & FAIRS

• Milan's Hack House will host a Fall Festival this weekend, Heritage Newspapers reports.

MUSIC

• The Detroit Free Press did a story rounding up some of the leading sources of online music.
