The U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance to offer a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration

This year is the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s famous "I Have a Dream" speech. To celebrate, the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance will offer a special celebration titled "50 Years Later: A New March to the Dream" at the Power Center on Monday.

SMTD faculty and students will offer reflections and performances in celebration of this special anniversary.

Many SMTD graduates move on to successful careers on Broadway and with national theater tours. This event is a great chance to see these future stars as they celebrate one of the most important men in American history.

Monday, Jan. 21. at 2 p.m. Free. No tickets required. The Power Center is located at 121 Fletcher St., Ann Arbor. 734-763-3333.
