For the fourth year in a row, the Sundance Institute has selected the Michigan Theater as an official venue of its Sundance Film Festival USA program for 2013. The theater will premiere an official Sundance selection on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.

In the Sundance USA program, a handful of chosen movie theaters around the country screen a movie that's also being shown at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The director generally attends and speaks at the Sundance USA screenings.

On this same night, there will be a brief celebration of the Michigan Theater's 85th birthday, and Russ Collins' 30th anniversary at its helm.

Reserved seats for Sundance USA will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m., via Ticketmaster.com.

The film's title has not yet been announced and will likely remain unknown until mid-December or later.
