Ann Arbor Summer Festival starts Thursday; full schedules here
The Ann Arbor Summer Festival — the community's annual three-and-half-week celebration of music, movies, socializing and more — returns this week.
The first Mainstage (paid, ticketed) event is Thursday, a concert by Patty Griffin and Buddy Miller at the Power Center. Top of the Park —Â the free, outdoor component —Â starts Friday and runs through July 11.

Thursday, June 17Patty Griffin, with special guest Buddy Miller, at the Power Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30-$45.
Saturday, June 19 "Come Together: Beatles 50th Anniversary Celebration" featuring local guest artists, at the Power Center at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15-$30. Wednesday-Sunday, June 23-27 Italy's Company T.P.O. presents “The Butterfly Garden," for kids age 3-8, at various times in the Power Center Rehearsal Room. Tickets are $18 adults, $12 children (general admission, limited seating). Saturday, June 26 "An Evening with Bernadette Peters," at the Power Center at 8 pm. Tickets cost $55-$75.
Wednesday, June 30 John Pizzarelli's "Dear Mr. Sinatra," at the Power Center at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $30-$45.
Friday, July 2 "Cinematic Titanic," featuring the original cast and creators of "Mystery Science Theater 3000," at the Michigan Theater at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Tickets cost $20 per show, or $30 for both (two different movies will be screened).
Saturday, July 3 Caravan Palace at Lydia Mendelssohn Theater at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20-$25.
Sunday, July 4 The Capitol Steps at the Power Center at 5 and 8 p.m. Tickets cost $30-$45.
Tuesday, July 6 Devo at the Power Center at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $50-$100.
Thursday, July 8 Juan De Marcos and the Afro-Cuban All-Stars at the Power Center at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $30-$45.
Saturday, July 10 Die Roten Punkte (The Red Dots) at the UMMA Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20.
Friday, July 30 Chris Isaak, with special guest Marc Broussard, at Hill Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $25-$65.
