Thunderstorms could plague the closing hours of Friday’s session of the Ann Arbor Art Fair.

The Ann Arbor area could be in for some potentially severe weather, starting around 5 p.m. writes meteorologist Mark Torregrossa of MLive.

The Ann Arbor area has a 30 percent chance of severe wind gusts over 58 mph, Torregrossa writes.

The storms will develop this afternoon to our west and then move east, reaching Ann Arbor between 5 and 8 p.m., and that’s when they’ll be at their strongest, he predicts.

The art fair, now in its third day, runs until 9 p.m. Friday. It's actually four fairs, but is one big event. The fair has a history of being interrupted by storms.
