"Scream 4" update: filming in Plymouth, and David Arquette breakfasts at The Broken Egg
Several web sites are reporting that the "Scream 4" film team, including director Wes Craven, is working in downtown Plymouth this week, with several cars made up to look like Woodsboro Police vehicles, and a police station facade built in a parking lot next to Plymouth's Box Bar.
MyFoxDetroit.com filed this story, with video, and BeforeTheTrailer.com offers several fan-submitted photos from the "Scream 4" set in Plymouth, posted Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
"Scream" star David Arquette, meanwhile, has been posting personal photos from around town via Twitter. Tuesday morning, he posted one of himself cycling, and another of himself standing in front of The Broken Egg on Main Street, of which he says, "Best breakfast in town." (Indeed, he even offered a photo of his Broken Egg breakfast for fans to see — a "Jumbo egg white omelet with spinach onions bacon and mushrooms.")

Broken egg is another old school Ann Arbor place that's "thye best" in town becasue everyone thinks it is. It's not the besty breakfast, as Blimpy is not the best burger.

The cast and crew has been frequenting restaurants all over town for weeks. Paesano's a week or so back. Another benefit to drawing new business to the area.

While it is always nice to see the magic of Hollywood come to my hometown I worry about the effect that this violent film will have on the youth of the area. I took one of my grandchildren to see Scream 3 and I was very disturbed by the extreme content of it. Hopefully this film will prove more tasteful than its predecessor and the effect on the community will be minimal.

Far as I know, nobody in town makes hash browns the way they should be made with onion and pepper and fried in bacon fat.

Oh god, would someone please tell Mr. Arquette that if he seeks a good breakfast, drive out to Classic Cup on Jackson Road west of town. None better.
