There were some beautiful and interesting vehicles there. Not nearly as many as in past years. Was it the heat or the relatively high entry fee?

I hope that these pictures have a bit more metal for the two commentators: http://www.annarbor.com/a2user/login/?return_url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.annarbor.com%2fentertainment%2fscenes-from-the-2012-rolling-sculpture-car-show%2f

Link is not loading and there is no other article listed in the entertainment section except for the pre-show story on Wednesday. Still metal less ...

@Arborcomment, you're being too generous with "excellent coffee table book fodder" lol. It's not that either, in my opinion. And since when did the staff spend so much energy defending their skills and so little energy developing them?! Someone on the Townie Party thread lamented the limited number of shots...why not more? It's digital, right? And please AA.com, as much as the staff may be tempted to answer right back like Mr. Smith has done here, it's very unseemly for "professionals" to do. This isn't a Facebook wall, you know...or, well, never mind ;-)

Reviewed all 11 again. Excellent coffee table book fodder. Not photo-journalism.

You got the job description right on! If you keep that in mind and take another look, I think you'll find that the gallery fulfills it perfectly. If you came here looking for 11 identical photos of car bodies, which seems to be what you're looking for, then you will be disappointed. Without visual variety, the world of photojournalism would be pretty dull. Again thanks for looking.

Jeffery, some of us can't be there. While we appreciate your "through the mirrors" and/or "shadow shots" (insert your photo art scape here). As a photo jouranlist, you have a higher calling - documenting who, showed with what, and the overall story. Didn't happen. Basic jounalsim

Well, this has to be the first time someone has suggested I be less creative. Though I appreciate that you recognize it as art, anyone can walk down a row and take a snapshot of a car. I'm here to offer a different view, one that misses most eyes. Thanks for looking.

There were some beautiful cars there. Pity the photographer didn't notice them.
