When stepping into the Ypsilanti Library to grab a book I saw a flier advertising a free summer kids program. Yes I backtracked to verify and it is a free program for children ages 6-12!.

The St. John The Baptist Catholic Church (411 Florence St., Ypsilanti) will provide this free summer camp program, called "Slice of Summer" July 13-30 to kids ages 6-8 and 9-12. What I really liked was that the program offers kids two free meals and features a full schedule that includes sports, art, drama, music and community service. Slice of Summer runs Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. - noon.

This program is a sure way to get your couch potato up and out of the house, but be sure to register early! To register for the Slice of Summer program call 734-483-3360.
