Mixed Company Troupe presents 'Lines a la Carte' in Pinckney

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The Mixed Company Troupe will present an interactive dinner theater show, "Lines a la Carte," at the Portage Yacht Club (PYC) in Pinckney on Friday, December 10 at 7 p.m. (Cocktails at 6 p.m.) Tickets cost $40 and include dinner and the show.

Each MCT performance opens with a volunteer from the audience selected to star in the show. Knowing not a line of the play — or the professional cast he or she stars opposite — MCT guarantees each volunteer's successful acting debut. Utilizing "Mission Impossible"-style technology, the volunteers are fed lines through an earpiece by director Sasha d'Or as he watches from his sound-proof booth.

With audience members essentially eavesdropping on a dinner table where things go strangely awry, a riotous good time ensues.

3 plays are served between courses of a fine meal, plated by PYC's masterful chefs. With shows including murder, seduction and mistaken identities, "Lines a la Carte" is recommended for adults only. To order tickets, call 734-426-4155.
