AnnArbor.com's free, outdoor Summer Concert Series this week welcomes Lonesome County.

The band—known as one of the best bluegrass bands in the area—will perform a lunchtime concert at noon this Friday, Sept. 2, on the patio at AnnArbor.com's community space, 301 E. Liberty St. (at Fifth Avenue).

Lonesome County plays in a traditional bluegrass style, though some of its songs are originals. The band caught a taste of national fame in late 2009 with an appearance on the "WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour."

If you haven't seen them, by all means head on down. They rank [almost] up there with the RFD Boys.
