Local filmmaker Christina Morales Hemenway (whose previous feature film, "Dreammaker," made the festival rounds and picked up a few awards along the way) will hold auditions on Saturday from 12-4 p.m. at Elmo's Hideaway, 220 S. Main St., for her next independent film, "Naked Angel."

The drama tells the story of an angel who seeks the voice of God, only to find her own voice in the process. Filming will take place locally in October, and auditions will consist of cold readings; auditioners should bring a headshot and resume and be prepared to attend callbacks on Sunday. Both union and non-union actors may apply.
