FoolMoon, a parade and party featuring handmade luminary sculptures, returned to the streets of downtown Ann Arbor for its second year on Friday. Although much of the day featured heavy rains, conditions dried out in time for the three separate luminary processions to converge on the party site on West Washington Street.

Photographer Chris Asadian captured these images.

FoolMoon is a prelude to the annual FestiFools parade celebrating April Fool's Day, which takes place at 4 p.m. Sunday on Main Street. This year, a benefit concert has been added to the weekend events; it takes place tonight at the Blind Pig.
