Maybe it's just the lens, but I don't recall the people at art fair being... so big.

Wondering how to get in contact with Artful Furnishings of Farmington Hills - love the State of Michigan coasters - I live in PA so cant go to the Art Fair this year.

Hi Bradmat, I just checked his business card. He has an Etsy store: www.artcraftfurnishings.etsy.com Robert also mentioned that his Michigan shaped coasters are a popular seller!

How about pictures of the Original Art Fair? That and the South U area have some beautiful and talented stuff.

there is no S. Thompson st. in Ann Arbor. For there to be a S. Thompson st., there would have to be a N. Thompson st. and that would have to be north of Huron. Thompson st. is only three or four blocks long, running between Liberty and Packard. You'd think that these writers would have figured out how this town is laid out by now. Bad enough they confuse fourth avenue with fourth st. all the time. BTW, there is no S. fourth st., either. But there IS both a north & south fourth avenue. Go figure.

Or, should I say, "an 1853"? :-)

Melanie, I looked online at a 1853 map. It's just "Thompson". I was curious because I was married on that street. You made a teeny- weeny mistake; that's fine by me. In the bigger picture, thank you for the great article!

Interesting, I was using the official ArtFair.org map for reference while writing my captions. http://artfairs.visitannarbor.org/images/uploads/file/A2artfairmap2013.pdf Anyone aware if there was ever a north and south Thompson?

I'm enjoying the picture updates, thank you! It's tough being at my work desk when I'd like to be out and about the art fair. Thanks for the photos, please continue posting them.
