Hurricane Sandy alters Edgefest lineup

Organizers have announced some alterations will be made to the schedule of Edgefest, the annual festival of improvisational and experimental jazz hosted primarily at Kerrytown Concert House.

The changes, necessary due to ongoing effects from the "superstorm" Sandy, include the postponement of Fred Van Hove's concert slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday. The concert may be rescheduled later in the week. Edgefest runs Wednesday-Saturday.

"Due to weather related issues surrounding Hurricane Sandy, the Edgefest festival line up has been altered. Some artist’s performances may be delayed. However, in the spirit of improvisation, the festival will continue as details on our artists develop," the announcement reads.

The latest schedule details will be available on the KCH website.
