As for things to do. Canton is also having their Halloween Skate. I believe it is either this weekend or the following. Also, the Michigan Library in Ypsilanti Downtown is having their first annual try at making the basement haunted on Saturday nite. Trying to attract the teens. We are trying to promote our neck of the woods. Ypsilanti Halloween times were omitted. As I said above 5 to 8. But sometimes I have seen them come around 6. Gives me time to get dinner on the table.

5-8 is way too long for Ann Arbor! Maybe next year it could be 6-8?

I can remember when Halloween began at sun-down and lasted until 11-12 midnight. We would have time to go home and empty our bags onto the table for dad to sort and go back out to round on the same houses. I know, I must sound old. But is 3 hours really that bad?

Wanted to add: that was after we'd run out of candy. I'm not just closing up shop for the heck of it or anything.

@A2Chick, that doesn't work in my neighborhood. Last year, we turned off the light and closed the blinds and STILL had kids at the door.

I plead guilty to that A2Chick.

No problem, I'm sure they'll change it for you. This year, just turn your porch light off if you don't want to be bothered. ;-)
