Grievous Angel plans benefit show for Dawn Farm

Dawn Farm is a local nonprofit that works to help people with drug and alcohol problems achieve long-term recovery. Grievous Angel is a local band that works to help everybody within earshot to achieve long-term good times. The two groups team up Friday in a special benefit concert at the Dawn Farm Community Barn.

Tickets are $10, with all proceeds going to benefit Dawn Farm programs.

Grievous Angel is a local roots band known for vocal harmonies and crack musicianship, and it has a couple of Detroit Music Award wins to its credit. Members are Billy Brandt (guitar, vocals;) Nolan Mendenhall (bass and vocals;) Roscoe White (electric and acoustic guitar;) and Todd Glass (drums.)

Grievous Angel plays at the Dawn Farm Community Barn, 6633 Stoney Creek Road, Ypsilanti, at 8 p.m. Friday. Free parking is available on site.
