The Food & Wine pizza roundup encompasses 47 pizza-focused restaurants in 15 states and Washington DC. Unsurprisingly, pizza meccas New York and Brooklyn top on the list with a combined 14 mentions. Possibly less expected is the strong showing from the San Francisco Bay Area, coming in second with 7 mentions.
Detroit's Supino Pizzeria in Eastern Market and regional chain Buddy's Pizza also made the cut.
Mani, located at 341 East Liberty St., was also recently lauded by Travel & Leisure, when the magazine listed the it as one of the 20 best Italian restaurants in the nation.
So it's clear that the national magazines love Mani Osteria. What about you? Are you a fan of Mani's wood-fire oven pizzas, or do your tastes run more toward Pizza House or Cottage Inn? Weigh in in the comments below.
