Federal holidays may interrupt mail delivery and garbage pickup, but nothing will get between you and your fresh, local food this Fourth of July.

The Wednesday Ann Arbor Farmers Market will run this week from 7 a.m to noon, with a broad product mix.

"There might be slightly fewer vendors on Wednesday morning, but people should still be able to find everything they're used to finding," said Wednesday evening Market Manager Caitlin Joseph. "It will be a similar product mix."

The Wednesday evening market will run as scheduled from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., but with a special kid-centric Independence Day event.

"We're calling it Sparklers In The Sandlot," explained Joseph. "In the gravel area at the market, we'll have sparklers, flags, decals and face painting."

The evening market is an "all-food" market, with food carts, prepared food vendors, produce, and a beer and wine garden.
