Coffee Tasting 11 a.m.-noon. Zingerman's Coffee Co., 3723 Plaza Drive, Ann Arbor. Zingerman’s Coffee managing partners Allen Leibowitz and Steve Mangigian offer taste samples and discuss new coffees. Free. Reservations encouraged. Call 734- 929-6060.

Chelsea Farmers Market. 8 a.m.-noon. Farmers Market on Park Street, off Main Street in downtown Chelsea. Purchase produce and goods from local farmers and enjoy free live entertainment and kids activities. 734- 475-6402.

Learn to Make Fresh Mozzarella. Noon-2:30 p.m. Zingerman's Creamery, 3723 Plaza Drive, Ann Arbor. Come learn with the masters of mozzarella how to stretch your own from-scratch fresh mozzarella at home. They will guide you through the steps to set up the curd from milk and teach you the technique we employ to stretch the rather plain-tasting curds into marvelous mozzarella of your very own. $50 (or $45 if paid in advance). Sunday

Tours of the Creamery. 2 p.m. Zingerman's Creamery, 3723 Plaza Drive, Ann Arbor. Cheese maker and managing partner John Loomis leads the whey and gives the inside scoop on how Zingerman’s make artisan cheeses and old-fashioned gelato (that’s Italian ice cream). $5. You will receive a $5 coupon to spend in The Cheese Shop. 734-929-0500.

Monday

Herb Garden Harvest. 6-9 p.m. Ann Arbor Cooks, 5060 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor. Make use of your herb garden, specifically dill, rosemary, parsley, basil, and chives. Menu includes Raspberry Basil Cocktail, Savory Herbed Frittata, and more. $65. 734-645-1030.

Milan Senior Nutrition Program. 11:45 a.m. Milan Senior & Community Activity Center, 45 Neckel Court, Milan. In partnership with the Washtenaw County Senior Nutrition Program, the program offers a nutritionally balanced meal three afternoons a week: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is a suggested donation of $2.50 for anyone who is 60 years old or older and a fee of $5 for anyone under the age of 60. 48-hour advance reservation requested. Tuesday

Cornman Farms Heirloom Tomato Dinner. 7-10 p.m. Zingerman Roadhouse, 2501 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor. The tomato bar makes its return - numerous different tomatoes, handmade fresh mozzarella, really good olive oil, Balsamic vinegar and fresh grown basil - fill up your plate as many times as you can! $45. Rat Pad Release. 6 p.m. Corner Brewery, 720 Norris St., Ypsilanti. It's the third Wednesday of the month and the Corner Brewery releases its special small batch of Rat Pad. The Rat Pad is a 10-gallon brew system at Corner Brewery used by local amateur and professional brewers to create interesting fermented concoctions for your drinking pleasure. Wednesday Wine Tasting. 6:30 p.m. Paesano's Italian Restaurant , 3411 Washtenaw Ave., Ann Arbor. This informal wine tasting allows patrons to sample five up-and -coming wines from Italy.
