A still from Abigail Stauffer's"We Are Never Ever Eating Bad Together," a video celebrating local, healthy food.

Wearing "local celebrity" T-shirt and her signature dreadlocks, local singer-songwriter Abigail Stauffer is featured in a new video celebrating healthy foods. The video, filmed at several local locations, including a hoop house and the Ann Arbor Farmers Market, also features local hip hop food activist Lucas DiGia, who performs under the monicker Rap For Food.

The song, "We are Never Ever Eating Bad Together" is a take-off on Taylor Swift's breakup song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and features lyrics like "we could eat all kinds of ancient grains instead of wheat."

Local food producers, facilitators and activists make cameo appearances in the video, including Selma Cafe's Lisa Gottlieb, Locavorious owner Rena Basch, and Shannon Brines from Brines Farm.

I have to say - I would rather hear Abigail Stauffer's voice than Taylor Swift's any day of the week, and the fact that the lyrics are fun and the message is great only makes this better.

Nicely done. Although the credits rolling at the end rival the last Hollywood production I saw. (which was Silver Linings Playbook. ;) Coincidentally my wife and I are trying to get some better eating habits.
