Find your inner light at the Annual Inner Peace Festival

By Ann Dwyer

Get your om on at the Annual Inner Peace Festival in downtown Ann Arbor.

The festival is a collaborative event featuring local merchants, teachers, performers and non-profits in an organized gift to the city each year by The Center of Light, a meditation center and spiritual school.

There will be lots of movement activities for festival-goers throughout the day, including free yoga, Qigong, Nia and integrative alignment dance class. A community drum circle will be led by Lori Fithian of Drummunity. A Meditation Tent will be available for peaceful reflection. Participants will be invited to plant “Seeds of Peace” and take their plants home to grow. Ann Arbor retailers will offer free engaging projects and experiences related to peace. A Blessing Tent offered by priests from the Center of Light, a Christian mystical spiritual school, who will be giving powerful blessings for people to receive healing.

If that doesn't entice you, there will be free snacks, sweet treats and beverages handed out to festival-goers. Everyone likes free food.

This is an event open to all faiths. Get more information at www.innerpeacefestival.com/ann-arbor/

Whole Dude - Whole Optics : I like this story and wish them a great success. I suggest that the invisible God makes His presence known as visible Light. To that extent, it may be said that God is Light. Physics explains the properties of light, and its nature. It is the external source of energy either directly, or indirectly to all that lives on planet Earth. Further, living things manipulate this energy, and convert it into other forms of energy which they use to acquire matter from the external environment to build, to maintain, and to repair their own bodies. Light gives the sensation associated with peace and harmony, whereas darkness is often associated with fear, and despair. Enjoy the free treat and have a great day.
