Preparations under way for annual FestiFools celebration

FestiFools, the annual parade of wacky and offbeat giant puppet heads that has quickly become a favorite Ann Arbor event, is gearing up for another appearance.

It's set for downtown Ann Arbor from 4-5 p.m. Sunday, April 11. But preparations are already under way. Here are some images from puppet-building efforts at the FestiFools studio:

FestiFools is a non-profit production of the START Project, a University of Michigan Lloyd Hall Scholars Program initiative. It aims to unite the university and the community in a unique, accessible — and free — public art event.
