"American Idol" finally got down to the last two contestants last night, and MTV.com has a full report as the competition comes down to Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze.
USAToday has some reaction from fans, and, in a separate post, notes that Bowersox will sing last in the finale.

• The CW network has released its fall schedule, including two new series.
• EW.com's "Lost" writer is back with his usual extensive day-later analysis, and this time he's really outdone himself.
• A writer is claiming copyright infringement over NBC's "Heroes."
• MTV is introducing a new series based on the old Michael J. Fox movie "Teen Wolf."
• No less than Perez Hilton says there will be a sequel to the Madonna episode of "Glee."

• Sad and pretty shocking news out of Lansing this week: The BoarsHead Theater is defunct.

• Did not see this coming: The Gories are reuniting.
• Ryan Adams is releasing a metal science-fiction concept album —Â on clear vinyl, no less.

• Megan Fox apparently won't be part of "Transformers 3" —Â and it seems to be director Michael Bay who made the call.
• John Corbett as Aidan, absent from the first big-screen outing, appears in the upcoming "Sex and the City 2," MTV.com reports.
• Big news here: Robert Pattinson got a haircut.
COMEDY
• Well, rats. Despite all the talk, David Cross says an "Arrested Development" movie does not appear likely at this point. Speaking of Cross, a funny track from his new CD is available for online listening.
ART & EXHIBITS
• The Detroit Institute of Arts is seeking a dedicated property tax, The Detroit News reports.
ONLINE
