Today is the 30th anniversary of John Lennon's murder, touching off all sorts of remembrances and salutes.

Rolling Stone has a very complete and well-done package — including an interview conducted three days before his death, from which only excerpts have been released previously. Unfortunately, the interview itself is only available to paid subscribers. But MTV.com has a summary, and the magazine has audio clips available. There's also an editor's note from Jann Wenner, a photo gallery from his final years, and — oh, right! — an assessment of his music. There's more, too: Here's a list of all the RS coverage.

Elsewhere, hundreds of musicians gathered in Liverpool for a special photo shoot; Yoko Ono gave a new interview to England's NME; and the Washington Post has a piece on fans recalling the night of the murder.

Adam Richman, host of "Man v. Food," saluted Slow's BBQ in Detroit on "The Today Show." Excellent call, Adam.
