Community High School Ensemble Theatre presents 'Just Desserts'

Community Ensemble Theatre—Community High School’s theater guild —is presenting its spring show: "Just Desserts: One Acts, Shorts, and Skits," produced by Quinn Strassel. Performances will be May 11-12 at 7 p.m. at CHS, 401 N. Division.

Tickets are $12 for adults ($8 for students and seniors) and may be purchased online at showtix4u.com two weeks before opening night.

"Desserts" - a mixture of 10-minute scenes, monologues, songs, and dances - aims to showcase CET's talent. As each short play finishes on the proscenium, curtains will close as another performer takes center stage in the foreground. Strassel, CET’s advisor, will be directing a few scenes, as well as guiding monologists and other soloists in regard to acting. Student directors will also pursue their individual visions as they guide their short plays to production.

During the Saturday night performance, CET will hold a silent auction featuring items and services donated by local businesses and community members. There will be bidding before the show and during an extended intermission.
