Comedian John Heffron returns to Ann Arbor for special engagement

Comedian John Heffron will return to the place where he got his start this weekend, at the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase.

Since that time, he has gone on to win on NBC's comedy reality series "Last Comic Standing," had two separate half-hour specials on “Comedy Central Presents” and done multiple television appearances.

"Any stand-up patron can relate to this comedian’s diverse material that ranges from bar hopping adventures in his twenties to married life in his thirties. John Heffron’s youthful personality and cynical wisdom result in a witty combination that nobody can resist," according to the press release.

He is the showcase's most popular act, so be sure to get tickets.

Friday & Saturday, June 14 and 15, 2013. Two shows each night, 8 & 10:30 p.m. $25. The AACS is located downstairs at 314 E. Liberty St., Ann Arbor. 734-996-9080.

John is a great performer -- his material (while not necessary family material) is certainly a far cry from the obscenity-laced routines that other comics his age resort to -- Heffron, Birbiglia, Johnagin -- some of our best young(er) talents in the world of comedy and highly recommended...
