The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra has announced the schedule for this season's "KinderConcerts," free concert programs aimed at children and held in local libraries.
The Ann Arbor District Library, the Ypsilanti District Library, and the Dexter District Library will host the 30-minute concerts with music and storytelling. Designed for kids under age 6, KinderConcerts are designed to introduce children to classical music and inspire their imagination.
KinderConcerts are led by Gari Stein and Kathryn Goodson. Stein is the director of Music for Little Folks and author of the book “The More We Get Together.” Kathryn Goodson is an internationally renowned pianist and collaborator.
Performances are at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the Ann Arbor District Library's downtown site and at the Ypsilanti District Library's Whittaker Road branch, and at 10 a.m. at the Dexter District Library. Doors open 10 minutes prior to each performance.
