Monica Milla

About Monica Milla:

Monica Milla a master gardener and master composter who enjoys getting people excited about gardening. She speaks to community and gardening groups, and teaches adult enrichment classes at Washtenaw Community College. Monica is the author of Fun with Winter Seed Sowing. She volunteers at Kempf House to restore a historic home's garden to the 1890s-1920s period. She has previously created a garden for cats living in a cat retirement community at For The Love of Cats in Lodi Township, and an 1860s fountain garden at Cobblestone Farm. She also stewarded a native plant demonstration garden for Ann Arbor Parks. Monica has been gardening for 20 years and winter sowing for six. She can’t narrow down a favorite plant but buckthorn is her sworn garden enemy.
