Briarwood Mall's Trade Secret salon closes after chain's bankruptcy filing
Trade Secret, a full-service salon and retail chain, recently closed its location in Briarwood Mall, just days before the company announced its second bankruptcy filing in 15 months.
The business moved out of its 1,450-square-foot space on Sept. 28, said Denise Murray, director of marketing and business development for Briarwood. The store was located next to The Buckle.
“We know that Trade Secret was a favorite destination for our patrons and we, too, were sorry to see it go,” she said.
Murray declined to provide details regarding a new tenant for the vacant space.
The Trade Secret chain announced its second bankruptcy in 15 months on Oct. 4, with plans to close many of its stores.
There are currently 12 locations in Michigan, and over 600 locations nationwide, according to the company’s website.
