Yagihashi owns two restaurants in Chicago, was chef for eight years at Tribute in Farmington Hills, won a James Beard award in 2003, and also appeared on "Top Chef Masters."

He describes Slurping Turtle as “casual Japanese tapas and noodles.” He declined to reveal where the restaurant will be located because he’s still negotiating a lease.
