A new Mobil gas station was expected to open in Saline on Friday according to a report from the Saline Patch. The new station will be on the south side of West Michigan Avenue between Austin Road and Monroe Street.

According to the report, station manager Sam Ajami had hoped to open during the summer, but had unforeseen delays.

Due to the later opening, Ajami was able to add a large freezer and make other improvements to the station’s convenience store.

In addition to traditional fuel mixes, the station will sell ethanol-based E-85 fuel. In the store, ready-to-eat sandwiches will share shelf space with hotdogs, coffee, and common grocery items.
