New Lake Trust Credit Union branch opens on Ann Arbor's west side
Construction is complete at the new Lake Trust Credit Union branch on West Stadium in Ann Arbor and the credit union plans to celebrate its grand opening Feb. 28.
Lake Trust relocated its branch at 2350 W. Stadium to this site, which is situated on the corner of West Stadium and West Liberty. The credit union purchased the property from Calvert & Lasalle LLC of Farmington Hills.
After demolishing the former Fidelity Bank building, Lake Trust constructed a 3,686-square-foot full-service branch with three drive-through lanes and one drive-up ATM.
The 12 employees from the old West Stadium location have been moved to the new facility.
“We’re hoping to be more convenient for our members and hopefully attract new members as well,” said vice president of marketing, Danielle Brehmer, in a statement.
The Lansing-based credit union formed in 2010 out of a merger that included the former Detroit Edison Credit Union and NuUnion Credit Union.
There is one other Lake Trust Credit Union location in Ann Arbor on Packard Street. There are 21 branches in Michigan.
John Fricke of Signature Associates is marketing the former Lake Trust Credit Union location on West Stadium. The 26,284-square-foot building on a 3-acre site is listed for sale for $2.45 million.
Fricke is marketing it as a "prime site or building redevelopment opportunity on highly desirable Stadium Boulevard."
